Description

What if the biggest risk to your business isn’t a competitor, a market shift, or a regulation, but nature itself? Every business, directly or indirectly, depends on nature: from water, land and raw materials to biodiversity, climate regulation, resilient supply chains and healthy communities. According to the World Economic Forum, around $44 trillion of economic value generation, more than half of global GDP, is moderately or highly dependent on nature and its services.

Yet nature is under pressure like never before. And as it deteriorates, so does the foundation on which business is built. Natural capital is increasingly becoming a strategic business issue, touching risk exposure, regulation, investment decisions, supply chain resilience and long-term value creation.

Organised and led by Tecno International, a London-based SustainTech consultancy, and hosted in collaboration with the UCL Centre for Sustainable Business, this London Climate Action Week event will explore what natural capital means for businesses today, why it represents both a material risk and a major opportunity, and how organisations can begin to respond.

With contributions from a curated selection of expert speakers spanning business, finance, sustainability and nature restoration, the session will bring together diverse perspectives on what is fast becoming one of today’s most pressing strategic challenges and opportunities.

Because nature is not just an environmental issue. Nature means business.
